"13-inch" refers to the diameter of the propeller. As 1 inch equals 2.54 centimeters, a 13-inch propeller has a diameter of approximately 33.02 centimeters, which is a rare extra-large size in FPV drones. In the model "DFL-1053", "10" typically represents a blade width of 10 millimeters, and "53" may indicate a pitch of 53 millimeters (parameter definitions may vary by manufacturer, so please refer to the manufacturer's instructions for specifics).
Material and Features:
It is mostly made of high-strength fiberglass nylon or carbon fiber composite materials. Compared with 10-inch propellers, the fiber density is increased to resist the centrifugal force during the rotation of the extra-large diameter (when the rotation speed exceeds 4,000 rpm, the centrifugal force can reach more than 3 times that of a common 7-inch propeller). The material toughness is optimized to reduce the risk of fragmentation during high-speed collisions, while the weight is reduced through a hollow structure design (the weight of a single propeller is about 18-22g).

Power Performance:
Paired with 2808/3006 model low-KV motors (KV value 1,400-1,800) and 80A 以上 ESCs, the thrust at full throttle can reach 12-15kg, which is more than 2.5 times that of a 7-inch FPV drone. It can easily carry equipment over 500g (such as ZENMUSE X5S camera + 3-axis gimbal). Its maximum speed can exceed 180km/h, but due to the large inertia of the propeller, the acceleration response is about 0.3 seconds slower than that of a 7-inch propeller, making it suitable for long-distance cruising rather than sudden turns.
Flight Stability:
It can withstand winds below level 6 (wind speed 10.8-13.8m/s), and the attitude fluctuation range is 40% less than that of a 10-inch propeller when flying in mountainous or coastal environments. The diameter of the downwash airflow range of the propeller exceeds 1.2 meters. When flying at low altitudes, attention should be paid to the ground effect (the lift decreases by about 15% when the distance from the ground is less than 1 meter), and it is suitable for operations in open areas above 500 meters above sea level.
3.Application Scenarios
In the field of heavy-duty aerial photography and surveying, the 13-inch FPV drone can carry RTK differential positioning modules and orthophoto cameras, covering an area of 2 square kilometers in a single flight. With a 16000mAh 6S battery, the flight time can reach 25-30 minutes, which is particularly suitable for large-area detection tasks such as forestry resource surveys and mine monitoring.
